In 2004, Habitat to the Max joined with Habitat for Humanity of Ventura County to share their dream of building affordable homes in partnership with low-income families in need of safe, decent housing. Since then, we have been overwhelmed with the support from our community. With the help from businesses and individuals, like yourself, Habitat to the Max has raised over $1.7 million on behalf of Habitat for Humanity of Ventura County to build 13 single-family homes, repair houses for older homeowners on fixed incomes, and engage hundreds of family, friends and volunteers in the process.
Habitat to the Max to Celebrate their 20th Year!
When Habitat to the Max had its first fundraising dinner in 2005, the goal was to fund one Habitat home. The team was inspired by the words of St. Francis of Assisi – “Start by doing what’s necessary, then do what’s possible, and suddenly you’ll be doing the Impossible.”
As we celebrate our 20th year, we are happy to report that the St. Max community has funded and provided volunteer resources to sponsor 17 Habitat families! In addition, our volunteers have supported Habitat Home Repair, Playhouse Build programs, and of course, the ever-popular Build Days where we work side-by-side with the families to build their homes.
Moving forward, we invite all of you to attend our 20th Annual Habitat to the Max Dinner and Auction on October 18th, where our goal is to raise funds to sponsor two more families, bringing our total to 19. Last year, Habitat to the Max expanded its mission to include providing support for one Habitat Home Repair project a year. This program addresses the critical health and safety needs of low-income homeowners by repairing their homes so that they are functional and safe.
Thank you for joining us on this journey of providing safe and affordable homes to deserving families. Your generosity has enabled us to achieve “The Impossible” by creating a future of hope and positively changing the lives of Habitat families.
Our goal is for Habitat Homeowners to achieve the strength, stability, and self-reliance they need to build a better
We hope to see you again at a future build day!
